Maybe I just didn't get this movie, but I didn't like it at all. My roomates giggled through the entire movie, but I can't see why. I won't be watching it again.
Really? It's one of my favorite movies and I think it's hysterically funny. Its humor is based on the principle that people trying to be funny are never as funny as people trying to be serious and failing.
It's cold-war-era satire, and if you're not used to that era and that era's style of filmmaking AND Peter Sellers it can fall flat. I also think its razor-sharp satire is still frighteningly accurate today.
So, there are all these movies that I have not seen, which friends say I must. I have decided to track my progress here. So check it out, help me out, and let me know if I need to add to the list :)
